Karl Stefanovic talks about doing lockdown alone

 has admitted he is incredibly lonely during Sydney’s after his wife Jasmine and one-year-old daughter Harper May travelled to  in August. 

The Today show host appeared on Nova’s  on Thursday to do a competitive round of the game Quick Draw, but spoke honestly about missing his wife, who jetted to the sunshine state to see her late grandmother before she sadly passed away.

‘She’s still in Queensland with little baby Harper,’ Karl, 47, detik explained. ‘She will be back in a couple of weeks, but every time I say, “When will you be coming back to Sydney?” she goes, “As soon as you get out of lockdown”.’

‘That’s what I’m waiting for, eagerly,’ he added.  

The conversation then shifted to how the TV presenter was coping at home by himself.

‘It’s not easy. The first hour is the hardest, it’s like alcoholism,’ he joked. ‘By the way, I haven’t given up alcohol during lockdown.’

On Friday morning, the Nine presenter shared a gallery of photos to his Instagram of Jasmine and his daughters, Harper and Willow.

‘Missing my girls,’ he captioned the post. 

Jasmine and Harper are in Queensland with Jasmine’s family after the recent death of her grandmother at the age of 96.

The Mara & Mine co-founder was seen earlier this month attending the funeral in with the rest of her family. 

Karl had announced on air in August that his wife had flown to Queensland with their daughter and entered hotel quarantine.

The breakfast TV host emphasised at the time that Jasmine’s grandmother was ‘really, really, really sick’.

Karl’s eldest daughter, Willow, lives with his first wife, Cassandra Thorburn.
